Über mich
I am a US citizen that grew up in the Malaysian state of Sabah. I am a political ecologist- which means I study the social and political aspects of environmental issues like deforestation. I am also a queer person and I have a lot of experience with political organizing around a lot of social and environmental justice issues. I love to talk about interesting topics, meet new people, get involved with whatever community I find myself in, make music, and just enjoy spending time time people!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I love getting to know people from around the world and have love showing people around the cities i live in and just chatting to them. Whilst traveling i have found that making real connections with locals is often challenging because everyone is busy with their own lives. With couch surfing you can actually identify the people who are ready to give time to meet someone new in their country and that is what I love about this system. There is nothing so wonderful as seek a place through the eyes of someone who knows and loves it.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I enjoy a wide range of music, like alternative, electronic, industrial, noise, etc. I love any music that I can really feel in my guts and I can get very passionate about it.
I love to read books of critical theory, and also enjoy history. I am not the best with fiction but it's not that I don't like it - I just always end up reading non-fiction and I love talking about the books i read (and that other people read).
I like to watch movies and series but I am not great about watching then alone. I'd be glad to watch then with someone else though!
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can teach some english or malay if people are interested. I grew up in Malaysia so if you've never been I can tell you about it (history, geography, food etc.) i have also lived in new zealand, the US and the UK, so i can also share those experiences. I love learning about people's perspectives in their own countries so anything they feel like sharing with me will be greatly appreciated. I can also teach about political ecology and social theory if that is your jam lol.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I am low maintenance and can offer fun conversation and am always happy to cook.
