I am currently a 23 year old college student from the United States of America. In the near future I am leaving everything behind and starting my adventure around the world. It is my ultimate goal to backpack/travel to as many countries in the world as possible while becoming closer with the people and culture in those countries. Traveling and learning is something I want to do full time and I am seeking to do everyday. Money is not something I have a great deal of but a big heart for traveling is what I do have.

I come from a family of four brothers and have been a close family person my whole life. Starting this journey soon and leaving them behind for a very long period of time will be tough but something I am looking forward to. I am excited for the next chapter in my life and learning what this world has to offer.

I am on Couchsurfing mainly because of the great reviews I have read through many different people online. Preparing for this journey I have been very involved in blogs and talked with travelers doing the same thing I plan on doing. Every person has always spoke very highly of Couchsurfing and their experiences with it. As said before, one of my main goals is connecting with the people and culture of communities I go to and I feel as if this is a perfect tool for doing that.

Traveling and soccer mainly! Well of course I love to travel which is why I am here. However soccer has also been a big part of my life. I have spent much of my life playing the game and even played it at a Division 1 level in college. I love the sport and try to my best capabilities of watching on TV as much as possible. I love FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC.

Music:
My favorite types of music are Country, Rock and Roll, House, and pretty much everything. I have never been picky in music and always like to hear new things. I definitely have my favorites but I am really open to everything. I love dancing and singing with friends maybe over a drink or two.

Movies:
My favorite movies are Remember the Titans, Happy Gilmore, and Avatar. I really really love movies and love watching them. While I don't plan on being in front of a TV much for the next few years of my life as I will be traveling, I definitely enjoy all types of movies.

The most amazing thing I have done would have to be hiking the Appalachian trail on the east coast of the United States. This trail extends down almost the whole east coast of the United States and took my teachers, friends and I 2 months to fully hike and explore.

As I said earlier I will be traveling on a low budget and looking to get involved with many jobs/activities along my journeys. Whether it be teaching english or soccer or learning something new, I want to get involved with as much as possible in every country I can to make my experience the absolute fullest. I cannot wait to learn so much new along this adventure.

I am going to be brand new to the solo travel experience. While I do not plan to immediately use Couchsurfing as housing, I know I can bring a lot to a host. I can be a very good guest. It is my goal to have the best experience as possible and learn as much as possible, therefore, I want to make my hosts experience as best and fulfilling as possible. I come from a very fast pace, highly sophisticated American society and I feel like I can bring a lot of interesting things and fun times to a host. I love to have a good time whether it being grabbing a late night drink or going for a walk through an old city. I value my hosts experience just as much as I value my own.
