Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed twice, so far, both positive experiences, in New Hampshire on the way to and from Vermont.

Interests

I love music; I would say that's my main hobby. I compose, record, and sometimes perform. I'm interested in literature, other forms of art, especially visual design, and aesthetics in general. I'm also interested in the classical education model.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Basically, I'm interested in music that I find musically interesting; I frequently listen to acoustic styles and musicians influenced by American roots music.
Movies: Right now, my film choices are motivated by educating myself in classic cinema--the great films and filmmakers.
Books: I'm interested in reading more of the great classics. I'm mostly interested in books that have stood the test of time. Life is short. Read great books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured with my University choir in Austria and Germany, Spring '11. To make sublime music in those beautiful spaces was incredibly heart-filling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning new skills and sharing my knowledge and observations with people who are interested. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know, and that's exciting.

Music, aesthetics, visual design, literature, philosophy; right now I am practicing a lifestyle and work method known as Getting Things Done (based on a book by David Allen).
