ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the prairies, but I'm loving calling Montreal home. I have also lived in Toronto, Winnipeg, South Africa, Lebanon, and the UK before. I'm now a landscape architect but I used to work in the railway industry, both in Canada and in the UK.

I'm a friendly, light hearted, and optimistic guy. Some people say witty and sarcastic, very clumsy.

I am a people person and i like spending time with people in small groups. I like to do social things like go out to eat, or for coffee or beer or wine. I like to walk a lot, and subsequently explore, so travelling and couch surfing seems to be a nice fit! I love any weather that I can swim in.

PHILOSOPHY

In terms of religious philosophy, I identify as Christian and am a semi-regular churchgoer. I believe in treating people with respect and dignity, having an open mind, and learning from others.

In terms of political philosophy, I generally agree with center-left social democratic principles.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in Lyon, France and Helsinki, Finland. Two different but excellent experiences. I feel like I got a more honest look at a city by meeting and staying with someone who knows it well. Both times, my hosts were welcoming and hospitable and easy to talk to. I can't wait to do it again! I've had the pleasure of hosting twice at my apartment in Winnipeg, also great.
