About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find out how to live a life of learning and growth... and keep on finding that balance.
ABOUT ME
I love this world. I'm always discovering new things in it. Especially the people. I could people watch for days, I could spend my whole life trying to understand how people tick, what makes them breathe, experience-- what makes people LIVE.
I walk places. I'm late sometimes because I want to have the perfectly packed backpack. I think things take their own course, and that we have a nearly visceral relationship with the universe. "Things happen for a reason" -- might be close to what I'm saying...
I read and think and write poetry. By 'read' I mean books but I also mean watch people, listen real hard to them, observe nature for clues. By 'think' I also mean discuss, go for long runs, meditate, stretch. And by 'write poetry' I do mean 'write poetry' but I also express my poetry in my playwriting, storyboards, journaling, movement, and in getting big ideas started with other people.

PHILOSOPHY
There is always another way to approach the world, and each day is a new chance to realize it.
We are imperfect, and we can never know each other, but we can try, and we find that beauty helps.
Create space for the things you want to enjoy.
Breath and balance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to start hosting CSurfers as soon as I move into my home wherever it is. For now, I want to travel and meet people, understand what it takes to be a good host, and make connections along the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hung out with a friend, Joshua Raab who was hosting surfers in Colorado and loved them. I visited him in Brooklyn the summer after and was blown away by the hospitality and respect that he showed me. I then stayed with some other couchsurfers in Brooklyn, and found each experience to be unique and amazing. The respect and learning environment that is afforded to the relationship is unmatched.
So I want to learn what it takes to be a good host, and eventually host people with the same respect and generosity that I was shown myself.
Interests
Learning new things-- new toys, new musical instruments, new games, new ideas. Playing helps me to learn
Storytelling-- blogs, art, creative writing, interviews, design.
People-- Learning from them, listening to them, laughing with them, crying with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running with the bulls in Spain. Hiking 14ers in Colorado. Camping in the Canyonlands in Moab. Buddhist libraries in Dharamsala. Muslim prayers in India. Eurocup victories in Madrid. Family reunions in Oregon and Hawaii.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very ready to share at anytime-- and I've found that a great role for me in life is as a receiver. I'm always open to stories, experiences. I value myself as a listener and an encourager. I often give gifts of stories in return-- books and poems are what I have to teach.
I'm good with online computers. Research as well.
I'm also a willing cook and cleaner, if that helps...
