About Me

I'm from Norcal. I've never felt that was relevant until I wasn't there.

A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.
-Lao Tzu

I like to wander. I've been all over western half of the U.S.A few of places on the eastern side. I've been to a few countries now, too, and every where I go I love something.

facts about me:

14. Asthma is my greatest weakness... so its fair to say my kryptonite is the air!

13. I was bitten by a black widow spider, (maybe twice?). The widow died... And I remained! (Roar?)

12. A friend and I once drove through the night and the rain on a whim hundreds of miles to see a place that we only learned had closed the week before when we pulled up to the gate in the morning. UPDATE: I went back recently when I realized I was passing through the same town again. I went down the country road and finally arrived at the Oregon Vortex... only to find it closed again! Only and hour prior! Hahahaha!

11. My first word was "Bilbo".

10. I wouldn't kill for Anthony Bourdain's job, but I'd think about it. (I said this for years. Now it just makes me sad)

9. I only spent a week in morocco, but I miss the tea.

8. I think all amazing human achievements ever in history were orchestrated solely by people and had nothing to do with aliens. At all.

7. I was named after my great grandmother. I wish I would have met her. Sounds like she was amazing.

6. In a perfect world, I'd travel for six months of every year, and live in the bay, near my family, for the other six. I'm very torn... I love ray Bradbury's "Rocketman".

5. Rarely have I felt manlier than when I walk down the street with an uncorked bottle of wine in my hand.

4. I can trace my life and almost everything in it, (jobs, places I've lived, trips I've taken, friends I have, maybe even the fact that I exist), to my uncle Danny being cut from the basketball team his sophomore year in high school. I am so glad they cut him from the team in 1975.

3. A friend and I napped in front of the Eiffel tower and watched the sunrise behind it, and then later that day we took a 3 euro tour of the city's sewers... and we couldn't decide which event was better

2. I can solve the rubix cube.

1. I'm not allergic to poison oak. It's my mutant power.
