About Me

PLEASE READ: "My Home" before sending request. Thank you.

CURRENT MISSION

Learning everything I can about our world, the people on it, their thoughts and words, and the music that they make.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Georgia, and have moved around a lot my whole life. Favorite places I've lived where South Carolina, Maine, & New Hampshire. I recently settled in the Appalachian city of Asheville, North Carolina, to continue my musical pursuits. I've spent a lot of time traveling in the United States and abroad, exploring the natural world, playing music, touring with bands, and just plain old road rambling. I took a degree in ethnomusicology from The College of Charleston in December of 2015. My main areas of study were gospel music in the American South, as well as violin/fiddle and guitar. I am absolutely smitten by the world, and all the people in it!

PHILOSOPHY

liberal/socialist

I believe in education, especially experiential education. I think it is the most important, and most often underserved pillar of human life. I love to be constantly learning. My life's energy comes from nature, culture and music. The greatest joys of my life are exploring in nature with people, playing music with people, and creating/ performing music for people.
