Overview
About Me
Hey ! I'm Loïc, a 29-year-old French guy coming from Douai, a small town north of France. I’m a music lover, I like sports, mindfulness, and history as well. I am really passionate about music, I play several instruments.
I recently moved to Yokohama for work. I would be happy to host at my place ! Even if Tokyo is so close, Yokohama has a lot to offer. I would recommend anyone to come and visit the city and the surroundings. For instance Kamakaru is definitely a must see. Only 30mn from Yokohama.
I speak English. Hablo español. Je parle français.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Making deep connections with the places I visit and meeting people there of course. I can't consider going to a new place and not doing any Couchsurfing. I can say it has become a way of life.
Interests
I try to be interested in as many things as possible, even the things I thought I didn't like ahahah. Of course I have my favorite topics but I always love listening and talking about what people have to say.
I like learning walking out, doing meditation, cooking, learning languages.
I'm also very sensitive to everybody's well-being. Thanks to the people I got to know, I have learnt many things. And being a good listener is one of them.

Music, Movies, and Books
A lot of different types of music, but especially rock, French pop and electronic music. I'm currently making electronic music with my computer. I'd like my travels to be inspiring for that purpose.
I had different bands before, now I'm more into playing music on my computer.
I love thrillers, movies with a nice twist plot.
Books : Ludovic Hubler, Paulo Coelho, Albert Camus, Truman Capote, Alexandre Dumas, etc. I like reading a lot !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo road trips, hitchhiking (my record : 13 cars in a day).
I lived 2 years in Mexico. I lived with a 80 years old man which was such a nice experience. I also adopted a dog in Mexico. Her name is Yelapa and she's now Mexican-French-Japanese hehe. She's the most relaxed dog you'll ever meet. I've lost count of the number of people on the waiting list should I want to give her up for adoption !
Mi corazón es mitad mexicano ahora :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some French as I’m a French teacher !
I would very happy to practice any language you can teach me too. I'm also very curious to know more your culture.
Whatever we could do and enjoy together would be great. I try to be a "Yes man", that I wasn't before. And it's actually very cool (so far).
I’m vegan so I can try to cook something vegan for you if you wanna give it a try for discovering new flavors !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good discussions, music, food and drinks, board games. I start to know Yokohama quite well so I would be happy to show you around with Yelapa.
