Hi everyone,
My name's Loïc (pronounce lo and ik ^^), I am a 21 yo French student currently making an internship in Tampere!
I would describe myself as a dabbler : Being quite open-minded, I like trying and discovering new stuff, wether it's music, sports, movies, plcaes, meeting new people...

Besides studying and working, I love doing sports, that include playing Ice Hockey, that I discovered just a year ago, riding my mountain bike in the nearby mountains or my road bike on... well, nearby roads! At least when I'm home, in Elsass.
I also really enjoy watching movies, no genre in particular as long as it's not a horror movie and love listening to music, folk and country music sending the best travel and peace of mind vibes!

I gladly talk about every subject, I'm not the kind of guy to just seat in a dark place of the room to avoid contact ! Oh and I love making jokes. Or at least I love trying to make some...

I don't smoke, don't vape, only appreciate one or two beers a week, whether it's in a bar/pub or at home, with friends or strangers !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to discover some of the world and to me, it's hard to get to know a new place without meeting the people who make it live! I have already experienced AirBnB, searching for this social dimension, but I have to say that so far I'm quite disappointed, I never got to meet the persons who shared their flats with me ^^'
But I heard about couchsurfing through my finnish roommate, who is a regular user and hosts couchsurfers every once in a while in Tampere, and thought that this could be the right way to finally meet people wherever I travel!
Many encounters through my life have made me the person I am today : everyone has taught me something, directly or indirectly, given me some values or knowledge, competences, experience... Couchsurfing must be a great way to keep learning things, and hopefully share what I already know with the rest of the World :)

Books : Les Derniers Rois de Thulé (Jean Malaurie) The Gallic Wars (Caesar), The Greco-Persian Wars (Peter Green). I like historical or similar books, don't really read stories, but sure can appreciate Litterature!

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach the basic hockey rules! Okay that's not great, but I know a thing or two about many many many things so, who knows, while talking with me you might learn something new ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can try to cook something ! I'm not saying I won't fail it, but I can try !
And I'm good at making jokes or making people laugh, even in english, or at least I believe so, you tell me ^^
Can teach some survival tips for france and Germany.
