About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live the life I love and love the life I live!

ABOUT ME

I'm a writer, editor, broadcaster, DJ, poet, performer, blah, blah, blah - if you want to more about that, check out my AMP (Artists Meeting Place) blog at http://www.pluginamp.com/network/blog/635 ...

Suffice it to say, I'm told I'm fairly fun to hang out with - love a good glass of wine, cocktail or cold beer - and always seem to meet interesting people!

PHILOSOPHY

"A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labour and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both."
Francois Auguste Rene Chateaubriand

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined, so I'm not sure how I will participate, except to say that I'm happy to meet up with creative people visiting the city of Amsterdam and have a coffee and a chat - I've been here over 7 years, so I've picked up a few handy hints!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled for many years, hitching, hiking, collecting adventures and stories... so in my time I've crashed on couches, floors, tents - you name it! Though I don't sleep on too many couches these days, as I review a lot of hotels in my work, I remember it well - and with MOSTLY really fond memories!

Interests

writing, radio, performance, chilling out, chatting, eating and drinking well, traveling... whatever takes my fancy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The amazing list of people I've interviewed still makes me want to pinch myself sometimes...

But for sheer "I did that," I don't count having my own theatre company in London, no, that distinction goes to the summer I spent tree planting and forest fire fighting in northern Canada and the Yukon. You know you can do anything once you've done that!

Teach, Learn, Share

Whew... gosh... who am I to teach... well, I've got quite a bit of experience (again - best to check LinkedIn) with writing, poetry, performing, brainstorming, networking, interviewing, traveling, reviewing... living the life I love... don't know if any of this is of interest, but...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, United States, Vatican City State
