About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To discover Latin America
ABOUT ME
I love hairless guinea pigs. I have a brother who sings opera. My best friend is a gay Mexican American painter. I show my students experimental Czech films to spark discussions. I find Lou Reed concerts to be more of a spiritual experience than church. I love that the flappers of the 20's made a political statement by cutting off their hair. I believe that food greatly affects the way we feel. I don't believe in an afterlife. I believe in humor. I fall in love with cities much easier than I can fall in love with men. I believe that every day is an opportunity to take part in subversive performance art. I believe America has the potential to be so much better than what it is. I don't think Chuck Palahniuk's books speak only to men. I don't care if people make fun of my music and I believe every child is legitimate.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to be laid back and chill. People are too uptight and concerned about the wrong things int he US. My overgeneralized opinion, I know but that's my experience. I hate strip malls. I wish everyone would just be kinder and more positive towards one another. I care about the arts and believe they enrich out lives, and travel of course. There's plenty of amazing things in the world to see, I don't want to waste my time staying in one place too long. I want to make the world a better place too, that's why I chose education as my profession. I generally like pleasant people and kindness, there's too much negativity and agression and bad vibes- just be nice to eacher people and slow down, go to cafes more and spend time with people instead of machines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossing the tectonic plates between North America and Eurasia while in Iceland was pretty cool. Swimming with a sea turtle in Hawaii.Seeing Nicolai Hubbe as a surprise guest artist with the Danish Royal Ballet in Denmark was really special to me. The Great Wall of China is nothing to sneeze at either. Nor is having a real cannoli in Sicily. I love teaching dance to kids and being able to perform my own own choreography and sharing my ideas on art and my talents with others.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love telling people about my travels and giving insight and tips on travelling to the places I've been. I'm an avid linguist, a language teacher by trade and language student by obsession and would gladly give some conversational and key phrase lessons to people travelling to China, Denmark or French-speaking countries, (as well as of course practice your English!) I have a degree in history and would share as much as I could there. I also have a brother in San Francisco who I'm sure could also host!
