About Me
Hi there,
I'm 25, I'm doing a PhD in Sociolinguistics at Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle, but if you're reading this I'm probably somewhere else travelling and doing way more exciting stuff!
I like (not necessarily in this order): messy cities, absurd humour, wine, the word "haphazard" and words in general, travelling by train, cheese, being drunk, mountains, owls, spring, my backpack, board games, ...
Oh and I play the accordion, which is a very french thing of me to do, I'm aware of that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now I can't host guests at my place in Paris because we - my roommate and I - don't even have a living room (if you've ever been to Paris, you know how small the apartments can be!). But I really hope some day I'll be able to give back to the Couchsurfing community what it gave me so far : some little corners where to sleep and opportunities to discover new places!
I first started using Couchsurfing when I was living in Canada, at a time when I didn't really knew anyone in the country but still wanted to travel all around it. It was a wonderful experience that enabled me and my two travelling friends to go everywhere without seeing housing issues as a barrier to whatever we wanted to do.
I think there is a very interesting dimension in staying at a stranger's place for a few days: you not only meet them, but you also meet with their everyday life and vision of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not too bad of a cook (or maybe my roommate lied to me), so I hope we'll be able to share a meal or two, some interesting conversations and insights about our respective cultures. I can also teach you some french if you're into it.
