About Me

Vamos viver, vadiar, o que importa é nossa alegria....

I'm young soul with basque-alacious roots, afro-latina heart, a starchild travellin' and roamin' through settings/emotions/characters.
I gew up in W. AFRICA/S.E. Asia/States/LatinoAmerica/Eruope and carry lots of stories and am hoping to meet young studs and studettes to kick it with, learn from, go dancing...

hosting situation:
I am in BKK for a few months on work project and while I Love to promote CS and host, please note that I am often very busy and am out of home till 10pm most weekends, and spend some weekends traveling. If I decline to host you, perhaps we can meet up for coffee/sweets/dinner/dancing. I live in a cool area with tons of good food and while I don't drink alcohol, am happy to sit with you as you sip yours.

Sono una ragazza fortunata perche io credo in hakuna mattata!

I'm not into superficiality and would rather an honest mistake than a misguided success.
"Hay que aprender a desaprender
no es contradiccion, es enmendarse.
No todo lo que se ve es realidad,
no todo lo que se escucha es la verdad..."
(Ideas Nuevas, Cultura Profectica)

was voted "most likely to have danced with someone from every single country by the time she is 30" by my coworkers at a Children's Camp (Esperanza) in the Dom. Rep.

young, spruce-y, happy, bumbling, curious, witty, fun, merenguera hasta la tambora, full of mistakes and wonders...

and to quote a dear Bulgarian buddy "so vigorous, heartful and honest, as the eternal sun you are. all impediments in your life to be a small obstacle which you take with a gentle jump over :) your smile cures the broken hearts and your eyes blink in universal sparms and prisms, upon all the stars reflects their lively rays. administrative, kind, beautiful and cheerful, an example of LIFE itself ;)"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met my BEST FRIENDS and most inspiring people through Couchsurfing! THANK YOU CS COMMUNITY. Such a great way to truly travel. I am here not to save money but to MEET new friends and share grand adventures and experiences. I'm happy to host with my home and heart :)

I'm a little indecisive but passionate and adventurous-- a letal combination. my plans for the future scare me, it seems I want to compassionately conquer the world and live in every country

PLEASE NOTE, CS IS NOT A DATING/HOOKUP SITE. I DO NOT DO TINDER.
I have had a few bad experiences but choose to rise above it.
It's difficult sometimes to draw the lines with male hosts so PLEASE everyone be respectful. I am friendly, flirty, but I am not looking for "romantic love" (if it bumps me in the head then sure) and though I am open minded and won't judge you, please don't push your thoughts and body on me if I am clear that I don't want it (if you don't know, please ask, it's not awkward and avoids me feeling meat-like)

Interests

now:
I make amazing SUNDAES!! a pretty competitive but thankful eating machine.
Im working on taking risks and cleaning myself up-- my soul and my body-- I've been working on cruise ships for 2 years and put a lot of junk in both and hope to move past it!

always: being studious, the outdoors, hiking abouts, nature-walks, water-forms, food, dance, ethnomusicology, anthropology, religion, philosophy, yoga, goofing around, eco-tourism, pirates, boats, pirate-boats, art, bodies (as said, art), every place in the world, my family, board games, exploring, eating food (why do we do it?)...

r-e-s-p-e-c-t, grassroots advocation, globalization and developlment, gender balancing, sense/sensuality, camels (sounds creepy so close to sexy topis), caravaning, road-trips (are they the same? not sure), minority reports, grassroots movements, political jabs...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

moving around

Made an archeological find--- 6th C A.D. amphora from a Byzantine Empire church in Bulgaria

spent "una notte a napoli" (reference to Pink Martini song)

did the typical Euro-trip with my atypical brothers

hitchhiked through Spain/Portugal

have hiked (and done victory jigs upon) several volcanos, two of which were active

taught my Dominican 3rd grade students to rap "MY NAME IS" by Eminem.

I've been robbed a few times and am still not afraid to be alone in any street in any country

whalesharks

every place and person is a glittering pearl that gleams strongly in some way in my life, I can't narrow it down but would be thrilled to gab about it in person

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a library of information on random topics thanks to late TV as a teenager (my parents didn't allow it so I made sure to do it)

I try to make insightful comments on the above stated interests and the interest of others

I want to learn cultural dances, rituals, clean-cooking, extreme sports -- samba, capoera, rumba, surfing, kite-surfing, wind-surfing, kizomba, kompa....

Massages, alternative medicines and health
