About Me

I grew up in a small village in Germany. After graduating I decided to study abroad, because I love travelling and new cultures (and their food). That's how I ended up in Wageningen, Netherlands, a small, green city, where I study Plant Sciences. Biology is the red thread through my life and I love having plants around me, seeing how they grow and observe and using them, for example how microalgea recycle the plastic particles left in the sea.

I grew up very old-fashioned, which is probably why I wanted to leave home as quick as possible, but I learned a lot of good stuff as well.
I am a home maker, I love sewing, cooking, baking, trying to fix everything by myself.
I love alone-time, thinking about how this world works, at least how it does for me and I like together-time to share those thoughts with others and learn something about their way of thinking.
I am amazed by almost everything and you will find me stumbling around with my eyes wide and my mouth open or in a big smile almost all day long.
I love to talk to strangers, ask them weird things or tell them that I love what they're wearing and that they look great.

I am very spontaneously but still organized in a strange chaotic way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

'Cause I love meeting strangers, sharing a story and then continuing my journey with a smile on my face and a smile on their faces too.
With a new friend for life, that you've seen only once and probably never see again.
But you never know and I hope that all the people come visit me and that I can visit again.

I love my analogue camera and theres a lot to see and I love picturing the people I meet.
I love new cultures, good food, old stories, new stories, life stories, music.

I want to see the world and love every bit of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fairytales. When I was little I had this crazy big book with fairytales from eastern countries, that often would not end happy. It weighed a ton and there were a lot of great illustrations in it.
Just bought an old english fairytales book in Bray!

I have songs playing in my had all day long. I listen to everything, my moods change really fast and you will find me listening to "die antwoord" and "rich white ladies" on the one day and then the other I will be listening "Vivaldi".
I love Folk music. We had this georgian band visiting and they played traditional folk which was wonderful (the guy could play two flutes at the same time!).
I also love modern Folk, like alternative indie music thats folk inspired.

Kyla La Grange. She's just amazing.

I am not that much of a movie fan. I love animated films and often when I discovered a ne film I watch it almost every day for like two weeks.
I've seen a lot of disney films for at least five times. And I've seen Hotel Transylvania for at least 20 times.

To balance that I watch a lot of horror/thrillers. But good and classy ones, not like bloody ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving with cuttlefish (my favorite animal) in the Red Sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn some guitar on my travels. I can strum and pick some chords but thats all and I would definitely love to learn more!

I can teach to play the violin (tho I don't carry my violin everywhere). I love to talk to people about their experiences, philosophies and everything! Just share your feelings, your thoughts about how this world and society work and I can offer to share mine as well.

I love to share good stories and fairytales, a warm laughter and a hug!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer everything from music to jam sessions to sewing lessons to getting totally wasted together to sharing stories and experiences to prepare dinner and breakfast (I am very good at making pancakes) to a nice discussion spontaneous karaoke sessions.
Just talk to me!
