About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling the world for 1 year: starting with Asia, then New-Zealand, South America and North America

ABOUT ME

I like to travel a lot and discover new cultures that's why I speak 4 languages and hope to learn even more. I love to share experiences with other and learn from them. I also do photography, especially portrait from the people I met during my travel (loladoloresparis on instagram).

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge and be open
I really like to try new things, to taste new foods, to learn new languages etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a lot of friends traveling with coach surfing and receiving people from coach surfing that's how I got to know it. Besides in São Paulo, we had a big shared house and were receiving coach surfers a lot. These experiences really make me want to be more active on coach surfing when I'll come back to Paris. I'll be really glad to receive people and to show them the less touristic and more hidden places in Paris.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been to coach surfing meetings in Paris and Sao Paulo. I've received people from coach surfing in our shared house.
I have also been very lucky to be received during 1 month by Ivone in Salvador Da Bahia who was really nice! Finally, I have visited Paraty in Brasil thanks to great couch surfers there.

Interests

Travel, dance, discover other cultures, eat, photography..! I'm really open to a lot of activies and as I'm quite sportive, I can trek, run, hike etc. I have done a lot of different sports in my short life.
I also like to cook, especially my native French cuisine and I also know how to make Risotto, sushi and nice smoothies!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I of course like French movies, the classical ones (Godart, Demy, Truffaut) and the more recent ones (Klapisch, Céline Sciamma). I also really like foreign cinema. I've seen Wadja some years ago, a movie about a little girl in Saudi Arabia, I loved it. I saw Somo tao jovens: a great Brasilian film about Renato Russo, a Brasilian singer. So well, I like cinema in general: French, Spanish, American, Japanese...!

Music: I'm also pretty open about music. I'm listening to a lot of Samba as I lived in Brazil and I've just learnt how to danse it. I've worked for an electro club for a year when I lived in Madrid so I also like that sort of music. I like quieter music like CocoRosie, Crystal Castles (I saw them in concert), Ebony Bones, Bob Dylan, Charlotte Gainsbourg etc. I sometimes listen to rap more especifically French and American rap. And in general, I like to discover new bands so feel free to make me listen to new things!
Books: I really read a lot and all kind of books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've built a house in the favela in the north of Sao Paulo with the program "Um teto para meu pais", it was a really great and moving experience. This part of the town is mostly inhabited by indigene populations so it's difficult to communicate by words but you always find a way to understand and be understood. I really like this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanted to share and teach about what I have done in Brazil. I have studied a system called ITCP (incubator of popular cooperatives) that helps people in the favelas creating productive cooperatives to create jobs and revenues for themselves. This work is mainly done by students and teachers from the Brasilian Universities. They deliver training in management, cooperatives principles, business plan etc. to these people who're generally not educated. The trainings enable to empower them and to make them able to manage their own cooperatives. It's a very interesting topic that is at the same time about solidarity, education and fighting poverty.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you French food: crêpes, ratatouille...
We can talk in the languages I know, I love to practice!
