ABOUT ME

I am a nice sensitive Joe, with a compassionate streak and an introverted quality. I am very intellectual and geeky with a strong interest in science and in getting around the world more. I was a kid in the 70s and teenager in the 80s. Though by appearances I seem pretty mainstream, I was influenced by a mixture of hippie, punk, goth, and hardcore culture, and my sensibilities tend to be bohemian and non-materialistic.

PHILOSOPHY

I am interested in doing good works, and learning about the world. I try to cultivate compassion in my day to day life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I go out of town a lot and would like to take some international trips. I am looking for people who would like to stay at my apartment when I am gone and keep my cats company. I live in a nice location in Oakland, centrally located in the Bay Area. I am also open to hosting when I am in town, with a preference for surfers who have hosted in the past.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few people and have also surfed a few times. My surfing/hosting has also included meeting people who didn't have/need a place to stay but wanted to explore the area together.
