Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Lolo. I am 29, from the south of Spain and I am currently doing a PhD in Computational Design at Carnegie Mellon, in Pittsburgh! I love meeting new people and explore cities! I am responsible, easy going and talkative! Always love to have good conversations with people and get the most of them.
I am respectful and clean, I don't create problems and I am always open to any advice/critic.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Coachsurfing because I love traveling, meeting new people and will gladly buy you a beer, lunch or dinner as an appreciation of your hospitality. That is amazing! I believe we are living in a sharing era, so I am always up to contribute on what I have!
Music, Movies, and Books
I recently discovered Seafret. They are amazing. Artic Monkeys and Placebo, Ben Howard. Ludovico Einaudi. This last one inspires me a lot when I try to design something. Extremely recommendable if you are a thoughtful person and you like classical music.
I am open with movies, don't have a particular one, could write a lot of them. Schindler's list could be one of my faves.
Currently reading Why we build.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have designed and construct a building. As an architect, this is the aim the most of us have, to be able to make something real. Fortunately, I could think, design and manage the construction of a single family house in Spain. That is unreal how things that come from your head come become true. All the effort, time, stress and complications are paid off by an incredible rewarding feeling. The process, though, makes you question loads of things about the idea and the result.
Teach, Learn, Share
Architecture, design, languages. I love to spread out my knowledge and to be taught even more! We don't really create our own word until we travel, share and experience during years. I am open to good and constructive discussions!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am more than happy to share my architectural knowledge to everyone and discuss about art and design (and many other things). I do think architecture in general need to evolve to another stage. As you compare it with other industries, they evolve much quicker than architecture. Technology goes really fast. Medicine evolves continuously, also engineering. We do need to do something in behalf of our cities!
