About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty laid back and calm person with a good sense of humor. I love meeting new people and enjoy having interesting conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest, cherish every moment with your friends, only look at the positive side of everything and try to learn from every situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few travelers on our couch and drove them around to the best places to eat and see in the city.

Now I am doing some traveling around Europe and the UK with my husband Justin, since I just finished college and need a break from structured life for awhile and to recover from all the stress.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have made it around the U.S. sleeping in my car when I'm driving long distances and no need for a couch.

After arriving in Europe I got to stay with someone from couchsurfing for the first time near Utrecht, which was a great experience.

Interests

I like going random places that I have never been and exploring. I am a pretty big risk taker. If I ever get money by accident I will use it to take a spontaneous trip somewhere.

I like everything that has to do with water and swimming, especially in natural pools and waterfalls in the mountains.

I like to eat good food and I test out new recipes all the time in the kitchen. I especially like making desserts.

I like going to big parties with lots of people and loud music and feeling the energy of it all.

I like really old ruins of ancient places and to feel a sense of history of what used to be there.

I also like anything related to art, computer modeling, interior design, architecture, and renovating something completely ugly into something beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:

The Bible
Henry David Thoreau - Walden
Oscar Wilde - A Picture of Dorian Gray
Victor Hugo - Les Miserables

Music:
Way too many different artists to say my favorite, but I am a DJ for trance, electro house, hiphouse and breakbeat genres of electronic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I did was spend the night outdoors in the mountains in Sedona Arizona with nothing but a mat and blanket (after sneaking under the fence of a park and almost getting caught by the police for parking illegally) and waking up to a beautiful sunrise next to a giant sinkhole. It was also amazing because I got together 2 friends from college who were now in states on opposite sides of the country to meet me there on the same weekend.

Another amazing moment was a campout rave I went to in Wisconsin in the woods to dj at and it was raining and there were giant laser lights reflecting off the rain and the trees and it was completely beautiful and magical and looked like being in outer space with shooting stars all around you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to train animals, cooking, English language, dj mixing and swimming.
