ABOUT ME
I am a fun, friendly, open minded and easy going lady.
I've been spending the last few years working at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, working as a janitor and running the laundromat. In the off season (I only work here about half the year) I travel and spend some time at home in Portland Oregon.
PHILOSOPHY
Oh jeez. This is a tough one. I think making real connections with other people, even brief ones, makes my life more meaningful. Meeting new people and experiencing all this world has to offer makes life more interesting to me.
I'll have to think some more on this one but feel free to ask me about it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couchsurfing but eager to help out however I can. I am travelling currently but am happy to host people in Portland once I get home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to this website, but I have couchsurfed on my own plenty of times. Growing up my family always had people coming to stay with us, and family vacations were spent "couchsurfing" around the country, visiting family friends. I love having people come stay with me and showing them around my town. Staying with friends and local people is my favorite way to travel.
Interests
Seeing the world, music making and music hearing ( i sing and play banjo and ukulele), quality time with my loved ones, cooking, hiking, biking, exploring, adventuring, meeting new people,! I love learning new skills- playing instruments, silversmithing, and driving giant automobiles are recent favorites.

I like all sorts of music, both making it and hearing it. I play a few instruments and sing a bit.
I love books and have many favorites, I just finished up 'The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay' and really enjoyed it.

Camping in Antarctica!
Teach, Learn, Share
this is a hard one too- I guess I could give you a mini banjo lesson, and also teach you the best way to chop an onion.
I am an expert at folding fitted sheets.
