ABOUT ME
I've travelled quite a lot, and lived in a few different places. But now I'm here to stay in Sheffield for the forseeable future, doing a PhD on something to do with sustainability and community food initiatives.
I feel pretty lucky to have landed in Sheffield, I had no idea how much of a cool city it was! Looking forward to being part of it!
PHILOSOPHY
Do what makes you happy and be nice to people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've met alot of people through couchsurfing, all over the world. Most of whom have been absolutely brilliant, open minded and unbelievably weloming! By far the best way to experience a town is through people who want to show it to you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i was first introduced to couch surfing at a crazy party in Colorado, involving nightskiing, a keg of keystone light and a load of fantastic people. Since then, lots of awesome times!
Not sure whats going on with the new website though?!
Interests
Travelling has always been a big one. Preferably overland, with lots of time to see the places inbetween.
But now that I've 'settled down' for a while, I guess I'm abit more down to earth (literally, with carrots and things), getting involved in local food growing projects and whatnot. Really interested in sustainability and finding different ways of doing things.
Mainly though, making the most of those moments when the sun is out and the grass is dry enough to sit on. I do believe that there are few places more glorious than England on a summers day, even if that is only about three days a year.
oh and I've started making beer, so theres an incentive for any would be couchurfers!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy any bands that can play well live, mostly indie, getting more into folk.
Loads of films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The kindness of strangers is the thing that always amazes and surprises me the most.
But camping on the Great Wall of China wasnt bad either.
Teach, Learn, Share
not sure I have much to teach, but I'm always up for sharing (stories, good times... a beer or two)!
