ABOUT ME

I'm a gyspsy and I'm from australia. I'm 26 and you should call me Longy. All 2011 I travelled Europe and have returned to Australia and do some really cool things with my life involving magic, music, animal-free food and most probably tattoos. I'm an open minded guy with a pretty strong thirst for REAL things in the world and memorable experiences. I make a good effort to make people feel comfortable and try to fill up my own time with productive activities. I like punk rock music and travel. I cook good vegetarian food and play my guitar alot. Usually talks with me can involve sharing wisdom with some sarcastic shots at bad drivers ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Then: I hosted people during our summer in Australia where most came to enjoy dinner and drinking games at our table, watch movies and pass out on our couch or wander down the beach for some sun.

Now: Since mid January I couchsurfed from Germany to Finland to surprise my best friend (should've seen the look on his face!!) I've stopped in Frankfurt, Warsaw, Riga and Tallinn where good hosts advised and assisted my journey. I saw so many cool things and felt simply amazed on a number of occasions, not to mention seeing so much snow!
I've just finished my visit to Europe which has been slow but insightful and enjoyable (except the working part)

Interests

I am a vegetarian, I don't drink or do drugs, I'm into tatto art and I love punk rock and listen to a lot of modern hard rock music. Sometimes I make my own T-shirts but don't take a very large interest in fashion. I also like cooking, taking hikes, documentaries and checking out art galleries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found a house for my band, very cheap rent, heaps of space to make noise and jam, then found a guitar rig for free.
Found a travelling backpack and winter jacket for 60 bucks for this move (cheap yeah?!)

It IS an exchange.. The couch surfing lifestyle is so important in our fragile society at the moment. There should be no fear in one offering accommodation privellages to an honest traveller if able. The majority fails to realise the benefits of sharing thoughts and posessions with others. It's not only our duty to help our fellow man but to hold faith that some of us here are actually willing to do so. Give yourself and your community a chance and stay with a random person.
