About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making the best of every day!
ABOUT ME
I finished my Bachelor's degree in Archaeology in 2012, and then worked in a organic store as a team leader for several years. I finally found my passion, and started my MSc in Ecology and Environmental Sustainability in September 2015, at the university of Aberdeen. Since graduating, I have worked as an assistant warden in Wales, a teaching assistant in Aberdeen, and I am now working as an ecological surveyor for UKCEH in Wales and England.
I enjoy travelling, and I hope to be able to visit more countries on my wishlist in the near future: Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan (even though I have already been!), Canada, the United States (and specifically Alaska), Finland, Sweden are all very high on this list, but it is much longer :)
PHILOSOPHY
Be positive and kind, and treat people and nature with respect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to get both the hostel experience and the 'home stay' experience while travelling.
I am currently not able to host as I live in what is essentially a shoebox with my partner, but I am able to meet up when I'm back in Aberdeen, and give you tips on where to go in the area!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many!
Movies: pretty much all genres, though I like horror and animation (anime or Pixar/Dreamworks) most.
Music: depends on my mood , I love classical music, but also rock, drum and bass, alternative, etc.
Books: I like thrillers, crime, and fantasy the most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been to Japan by myself twice, which was sometimes scary, but mostly an amazing experience! I have met so many great people, and I am absolutely in love with the nature and culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Dutch! It is a difficult, but interesting language. I would love to learn about any other cultures and lifestyles, and to share meals from my or your country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have many interests, so we should be able to find something we can enjoy doing together! I am always happy to cook a nice meal, and I can bring you some Welsh or Scottish delicatessen as a gift for allowing me to stay at yours.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Scotland, Slovakia, Wales
Countries I’ve Lived In
