ABOUT ME
I am Portuguese, born in the student city of Coimbra (one of the oldest universities in the world), but grew up in Canada. I have been living in Geneva since 2007, working for an NGO as a graphic designer and multimedia expert.
I have a thirst for adventure and knowledge, and which better way to do so than by traveling, experiencing different cultures and meeting new people. That is one of the main reasons why I joined CS. I have traveled quite a bit, and want to travel even more.
PHILOSOPHY
"A vida são dois dias e hoje já vai a caminho"
Portuguese proverb
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel and meet new people, and couchsurfing has expanded on that experience. Even if not looking for a couch, there are always people eager to show their city.
I am not always free due to work and sports, but when I am, I am happy to host and show you Geneva. Even if my couch isn't available, I'm happy to show you around, go for a coffee, or give you a taste of the culture and night life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had some great couchsurfing experiences, some of which were in my very own country (Portugal). It's a great way to meet new people and discover new stories. I've been a CSer for over a year, and regret not having joined sooner.
Interests
playing guitar, concerts, cooking, reading, taking photos, creating things, football, volleyball, beach-volley, being outdoors, bike riding, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, ocean, traveling, wine and cheese by the lake, swimming, open-air cinema, motorcycle, driving, quad
I've been playing music since I was about eight years old. I play quite a few instruments, but mostly the guitar. I had a few bands growing up, but since I moved to Geneva, sort of set that aside.
I'm a creative person. I am a visual communicator by profession: graphic design, web design, photographer and videographer. I love to cook - it's another way to express myself, and plus, I love to eat (quality over quantity).
I play sports, mainly football (soccer) and volleyball, but also squash, mountainbiking, and lately jogging.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In June 2010, I did a mini tour around the world during two weeks for a photography project. I was in five regions taking pictures of people with osteoporosis for my book and photo exhibition called "Snap! The Breaking Spine"
