ABOUT ME
We are lovers of couchsurfing. Between 2012 and 2013 we took a 1 year trip around Australia in a camper van, and in-between nights spent sweating it out in a metal box on the side of the road we couch-surfed. We met some incredible friends on this trip who I know we will be friends with for a long time! Can't wait to do it again, and we'd love to host when we are in a position to do so!
We are 26 and 28, and have given up our jobs and flat in London to travel and meet some people along the way!
Lou - I work(ed) as a producer for an online food channel (SortedFood! Check us out!). Producer makes it sound way more fancy than it actually is to be honest, but I absolutely love what I do, work with some great people and once I start talking about it I don't stop. So you've been warned. Outside of work, I love food, music festivals, being outdoors in the summer, and snuggled up in the winter.
Dave - My life revolves mainly around food, I love cooking for others and eating. I have been a chef for all my working life and will be forever. Im also into music (and food). Looking forward to experiencing different cuisines and meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Eat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have stayed with lots of really generous and hospitable people during our trip to Australia and would love to open our doors to couchsurfing when we have a place of our own to do so!
We always show our gratitude to our hosts, respect the places we stay by keeping clean and tidy, and hey - who's to say Dave won't do a little cooking!?
We also like to socialise with our hosts, which is the main reason we use CS when travelling. Always up for recommendations and local knowledge from hosts! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unforgettable. We love CS.
Interests
We both love a good festival - chilling out for days and losing track of the days, beer in hand, not a care in the world.
Dave's interests lie in food, food and food, and Louise loves photography. And food.
We also used to run a supper club from our home when we lived in Leeds. We opened up our living room to 10 guests each time, and hosted a 7 course feast to the public. We've loved meeting lots of new people through running the supper club, and were sad to put things on hold when we went away. Hopefully one day we can do it again…!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is important to both of us. As long as you don't like the Black Eyed Peas, we'll get along.
Lou - I love to read, but I never make enough time for it! Most recent read, Something's Going to Fall Like Rain by Ross Wynne-Jones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dave - Crawling down a 200ft tunnel inside The Great Pyramid in Egypt, and also seeing Tutankhamun's tomb was pretty mind blowing.
Also, watching the sunrise after 3 nights spent on a hill at Glastonbury festival - that was one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced.
Teach, Learn, Share
Dave - I'm keen to teach all I know about food and cooking, and eager to learn from other people too.
We love to learn about the places we stay, so if you can share your knowledge and understanding of a place we are always keen to listen :)
