Overview
About Me
I am a native of just-south-of-where-the-glaciers-stopped, Indiana. I've lived in Spain for four years, but heading back to the U.S. after traveling with my girlfriend. Queer feminist, activist, adventurer, hiker.
Things I love:
Hiking, eating, avocados, people watching, when I bake things and they look nice, making lots of new friends, drinking beer and wine and moscow mules, making myself a cup of coffee before anyone else in my house is awake, aimlessly walking around my neighborhood.
Things I don't love:
Accidentally staying up til 2am on facebook, close-minded people, having to grocery shop for a week in advance, waiting in lines, when i bake things and they look terrible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favorite thing about Couchsurfing is that it allows us to travel with an alternative economic model- sharing rather than buying a place or experience changes that experience completely, and of course makes it more accessible.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of reading here. I like fiction that helps me learn. Speculative fiction. I cry watching dumb movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Fall 2008 I hiked the John Muir Trail. It was pretty cool.
I've jumped in half-frozen lakes in the middle of winter. Never a good idea, but hey.
Teach, Learn, Share
The coconut is not a nut, but rather a GIANT SEED. I can teach you some mad science (but only up to a 12 year old level) and lots of fun facts about animals.
If you visit me we can do an activity to learn why pirates wear patches.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, providing wine, shared meals and curiosity.
