About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet lots of lovely people and spread joyous laughter!

ABOUT ME

Hi!  I'm Louise and I like cake :-)And pie.  But you can't get pie in Germany and I don't have an oven yet...  But when I get one, I intend to make lots of pie!So...  I'm new to Osnabrueck and I know a handful of people who I work with.  My German's a bit pants so it would be lovely to meet some people and embarass myself by getting my words mixed up and saying something completely ridiculous such as, "Sollen wir Kotzen haben?" instead of actually saying, "Sollen wir Kurzen haben?"  Also, when I've finally found a permanent flat with a spare room, I'd be up for letting lovely people kip for a night or two.  Long term stays are out of the question, unless you're fit ;-)  (bad joke, sorry).Things I like - knitting, swimming, riding my bike and forgetting that you have to pedal backwards to get the brakes to work, aimlessly wandering about the city, rambling in the countryside, moosic, festivals and reading strange books that my friend Anne gives me.  PM me if you fancy going for a coffee/cup of tea/Happy Hour cocktails!  Can't take any visitors yet but will update my profile when I can!

PHILOSOPHY

After moving ten times in three years I'm trying to settle for a bit! I believe in good food, good friends, good ale, looking after yourself and being good to others. Hurrah!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Oops - put all this in the personal bit.  I'd like to meet some lovely people in Osnabrueck who don't mind me speaking bad German at them.  :-)  And I'd be up for hosting when I've settled here and have a spare bed!

Music, Movies, and Books

Films - I like European and British films. Any arty that makes me seem more intelligent and sophisti-me-cated than I am. Not a big fan of blockbuster, Hollywood films.

Moosic - FIDDLES! I like folky stuff at the mo but I also like some dancey stuff, a bit of indie and rock.

Books - I never know what to read! I've just finished A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon. That's good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Morocco on a yoga retreat and got very ill in the mountains on a 3 day trek. That was amazing!
