About Me

I'm a 23 year old chilean Physics Student at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago.
I currently work in research on Biophysics in the physics department of my uni, and also as a teacher assistant.

I'm an AFS returnee Germany 2009-2010 :)
Also former host sister to exchange students from Italy, USA and Australia.

I'm outgoing, optimistic and open-minded.
I enjoy meeting new people to share experiences, stories, a good laugh and to learn about each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just joined this site and I love the spirit of it. I think it's a brilliant way to meet people from all over the world, and help each other out. I also believe that nothing compares to an intercultural experience, no matter the place.

I've done couchsurfing with friends and it has always been great.

Interests

I love science, specially physics, mathematics, astronomy and biology.

I love dancing (salsa, merengue, samba, tango, flamenco, cueca, belly dance, folklore from anywhere)

I also love to spend time with my family here in Chile, we like going camping together and it's amazing!

I like to travel (obviously!), meet new people, painting (i'm pretty bad but I really enjoy it) and learning new things. I'm not really a "sport person" but I love playing table tennis and walking. I like volleyball but I ain't good at it :(
And photography is my new hobby at the time :)

Maybe not as interesting, but quite important: my love for pizza and beer<3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My year as an exchange student in Germany, it was a fantastic experience. I met wonderful people (from all over the world) and places, and learned so much (not just a new language!). It allowed me to discover so many different perspectives of the world, that's just priceless.

Also during my exchange I went to live for two weeks with a different family far away from my host family, they where from Netherlands and lived in the middle of nowhere, I totally freezed there but it was awesome :D

And the newest! This summer I flew back to Germany for the first time since I did my exchange year, I visited my host family and also did a bit of travel on my own. I had never traveled all by myself before and I can't begin to describe how wonderful it was!! I went to Paris, London, Brussels and Cologne, just me and my camera, I loved it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think it's very important to read other people's profiles before you decide to host someone or ask to be hosted, so I expect "personalised" messages, because that's how I write them too :)

I love meeting new people and talking and getting to see new places, I can teach you how to dance or cook a delicious chilean meal :)
I can tell you about my culture, our traditions, food, typical dances, weather.. anything you wanna know :)

And of course, I can help with your spanish, english or german. You might even get permission to laugh at my terrible french ;) (I don't know much anyway haha)

I can teach you physics, if you are interested, and talk about quantum mechanics, general gravity, etc. But don't run away!! I'm not (that) much of a nerd.

I just love talking about pretty much anything, but deep topics late at night are my favourite c:
