About Me
ABOUT ME
Water is life. I'm a river rat/ski bum most recently from Durango, CO. I like to travel, I like to be outside, I like to follow the flow of life wherever it takes me. Sometimes my spontaneity can get me in trouble but it doesn't stop me. I'm a really chill, easy going person and I can get along with just about anyone. I love meeting to people and swapping stories about adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
Adventure is good for the soul. The moment you stop testing your limits is the moment they become walls. Life isn't worth living without risk, without struggle, without growth. Get busy living or get busy dying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If you can catch me on a day when I'm not out adventuring my couch is open. Even if I'm away from home feel free to tag along for an adventure, the more the merrier.
Interests
Kayaking, hiking, climbing, canoeing, rafting, pretty much anything outside. Whenever I'm not outside going on adventures I'm reading up on world news and foreign affairs. I'm really interested in travel and I dream of seeing the world some day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite band/artist is the Legendary Doc Watson. Best concert I've ever been to was Journey, saw them live my senior year of high school. Favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption, nothing else comes even close. That being said I am a huge Star Wars nerd and I love everything associated with the franchise. I devour books so picking one favorite is tough. I'm a big fan of The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey. One of my favorite books since I first read it in high school is The Great Gatsby, I really identify with the character Nick Carraway. Also read a lot of non fiction: biographies, history, current events etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I saw the Northern lights on a cloudy night in southern Canada; the first time I kayaked over a water fall and got ejected from my boat, I felt like I flew for days; and when a little girl in Ecuador handed me a flower she picked just for me.
The most profound experience of my life was rafting down the Grand Canyon. There aren't enough words in the English language to describe how it felt.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm more than willing to provide suggestions and tips for local adventure. I love sharing my passion for the outdoors with anyone who cares to listen. If you're looking for a fun day hike, especially if it's a waterfall to check out I can point in the right direction. I can also provide any suggestions on river trips, backpacking destinations, over night camping, and more. I've been all over the country so my range experience extends well beyond just my locale.
I also know a thing or two about food and beer so if you need some help finding some in the area I'm happy to be a resource.
