ABOUT ME

In recent years I have been focusing more on having valuable experiences in life than following the expected path. In recent years I have become involved with volunteering for Burning Man and working with artists in San Francisco (Flaming Lotus Girls). I am looking forward to simplifying my life in order to travel long-term starting in late 2009.

PHILOSOPHY

While my life had previously been only focused on my career and long term goals, I have realized that I want my life to be more about experiences. I noticed that the way I was living my life was like riding a wave, but only focusing at reaching a point on the shoreline. While dedication and hard work can lead one in the right direction, ultimately the wave of life is going to take you where it will. At this point I would rather "enjoy the ride" than let it pass me by as I focus only on what lies at the end. Nobody ever says on their death bed: "I wish I had worked more" or "I wish I made more money". Life is about living it and enjoying it, not where you are at the end. It's going to be an *amazing* ride! Come join me!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have made some friends in the CS community but have not had many requests to host a surfer yet. I am venturing out across the world and I hope to surf to some happy and friendly CSer couches soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have quite a few friends that are CSers and have heard many great stories of their experiences. I'm looking forward to starting my own couch surfing experiences!
