ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Lorcan and I live in London. I'm really laid back, get along with anyone, and just looking to meet lots of new people and see a lot of the world!

I’ve been working full time since I graduated university and am starting a year long career break to travel through south and Central America from January 2020.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Many years ago I used Couchsurfing for my own travel (I stayed in Vienna and in Gozo, Malta) and I also hosted a Spanish couple in my flat in Edinburgh for a couple of weeks. I also used it just to meet new people when I’ve traveled alone. Although I’ve not used it a lot, I loved every minute of it. It was such an amazing way to meet new people who are passionate about their homes and to experience a new place with true locals.

Since then, I’ve been working full time and not had the opportunity to host or travel. Now that I have some time off work, I’m hoping to get into it again! I have a 1 year trip through south and Central America starting January 2020 and hope to meet as many new people and have as many new experiences as possible.

Interests

travelling, movies, any sport, any time spent with friends and family. Some of the best friends ive made have been while travelling and i want to just keep meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for 6 months. Such a surreal cultural experience, and I left with some great stories to share.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love swimming and water polo, and used to play water polo internationally. I can also play the piano and juggle (so if you’re interested in learning any of these random skills, I would love to teach you!)

I’m also a native English speaker and would love to help anyone improve their English, and maybe they could help me improve my Spanish.
