ABOUT ME

i'm a travelling girl////i got a quirky sense of humor, movies, music and books///i am various moods on various moments of the day///there are very few people and things i like, but the people and things i like i carry in my heart///i love and would love to be water or wind...especially wind///i'm always up for meeting new people, an new country, a new town, and, on occasion, old cheese B)

things i like: being lucky, hot chocolate milk with honey, thunderstorms, one of my favorite songs played out loud, marlies dekkers underwear, the ocean, old Parmesan cheese, skinny dipping, dreams, open-air philharmonic orchestras, fireworks, a purring cat on my lap, matching sense of humor, logic, surf rock, old people (except the bitter nagging ones), flying (if only i could ;), an unexpected hug, myths & legends, good movies, being loved, a tight black leather jacket, the green wing, (national)parks, meaningful friendships, a good deal, flip flops, sneezing real loud, hearing an fascinating story that really sucks you in, grey north sea shrimps, hot chocolate milk with Baileys (i REALLY like milk ;), grand gestures, inner strength, doing a cartwheel, laughing out loud, smoking, correct spelling, the sound of two cristal glasses resonating together, ancient old ruins, foreign languages, japan, seeing how far a champagne cork can get, mozart, making scrap books, hearing my little brother laugh and seeing my big brother grin, observing comical characters from a terrace and commenting loudly in west-flemish which NOBODY understands ;)- and especially those days where this list seems endless and you're on top of the world.

things i don't like: dubbing, flat tires, forgetting something important, aggressive drunk alcoholics, hearing 'oh, we never had THAT problem before', being sick, having something stolen, realizing there's no toilet paper when you're already sitting down, gossip, being lied to, being lost, smoking, doubting, missing my train, a never ending stream of grey rainy days, SNORING!!!!, people who lie about snoring (only when im drunk/having a cold/lying on my back-which mysteriously enough always is the case), bad body odor, children (except the well trained ones), fake chocolate milk, posh/judgmental people, hurting someone without meaning to, manipulators, asking someone a question and getting no answer, having cold feet all day long, voluntary ignorance, horseback policemen, not having a practice life, animals in undersized shoeboxes, and -last but not least- loving someone deeply yet knowing the love isnt returned...barb wired bras hurt less than that.

i mostly say exactly what's on my mind and that might offend some and charm others, but thats just an important part of who i am ;)

i spread the word around, that couchsurfing is a great way to travel and meet new people and i try to 'infect' as many people with the cs feeling as i possibly can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've had great couchsurfers up until now, nice people who don't lie/steal, like to cook and share stories from all over the world. maybe you're one of them?

on the other side of the spectre i've met some amazing people surfing couches all over the world and my only regret is that i can't create a town with all those people in it and live there. darn.

Music, Movies, and Books

too many to choose from...so here's a few of my favorite directors: tim burton, quinten tarantino, robert rodriguez, steven soderberg, jean-pierre jeunet, lars von trier, jane campion, danny boyle, kim ki-duk,...love asian cinema, 'old boy', 'the isle','ken ichi' and more of weird stuff... also adore manga/anime (hellsing,kenshin, spirited away, princess mononoke, full metal alchemist, death note ...)
oh, and COMIC BOOKS!!! almost forgot, the Sandman is great, Belgium has great artists, though not so very well known...got a book case full of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

seen: slow sunsets, sudden thunderstorms...the colour of the desert in the evening sun or an unexpected perfect rainbow in the middle of the city; yeah, im kinda mushy when it comes to the beauty of nature, can't help it ;)

done: jumping off a 7.5 meter high rock cliff into a wild water river in the north of thailand...twice!!! and im SO scared of heights!!!
diving with dolphins in the red sea in israel also was an unforgettable experience

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH got nothing to teach, still in the 'learning' phase; come back when i'm 90, and we'll talk.
...but if you like dreams, i mostly got some entertaining ones to tell in the morning (...and i'ld love to hear yours ;), and i can show you a vast collection of contemporary European comic books.
also, opening up beer bottles with a cigarette lighter, with a *popp*, haha ;)
if you tell me which kind of movie genre you like, i can write you down a list of must see movies instantly- or a list of good books/comics to read.

LEARN im open to learn just about anything, im interested in a great variety of things espcially if i have a chance to talk to/surf with an expert in their field. you can always pleas me with good books/movies/music tips, or any kind of sports B)
