Overview
About Me
I live to travel! Maybe that is why I have a PhD in Cultural Geography. I am a professor at the University of Minnesota in the U.S. My research is focused on the informal economy, particularly on street vendors. I love public informal markets and feel they are the heartbeat of so many towns and cities all over the world. My family lives in Mexico, I grew up in Ensenada a couple blocks from the beach and my mom has a small ranch in the Guadalupe wine valley in Baja California. So I had (still have) the best of both worlds a rural home and a house near the beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet new people. Like to keep in touch and connect with my friends (new and old) all over the world. Since I am traveling abroad until August 2016, I cannot host until then, but I would love to become a host as well in my house in Minnesota.
Interests
Besides traveling, I love to knit, craft, read, swim, cook, watch good films, trek, and learn new skills.
