CURRENT MISSION
Just purchased a couch and an air mattress - getting ready for some hosting!
ABOUT ME
I love people and travelling! People are the wild ingredient in life, the spice that makes this world so rich.
Professionally, I'm a product designer, or as my girlfriend—who I met on CS—just said, "an architect of ideas". Making things is part of my life, and besides digital products, I love making photographs and music.
Back in college, I led groups of students on week-long excursions backpacking into the mountains of California or kayaking into the oceans of Mexico. The wilderness is so good for people, and I love it - surfing, backpacking, kayaking, spelunking, whatever. Especially surfing.
I play soccer all the time, and have tried to play pick up soccer in every country I've ever gone to. It's a good way to get to know people, and really cool to see the different physical styles of play that are influenced heavily by culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Plan A: Find large body of water, float around on it
Plan B: Find remote expanse of land, use legs or wheels in some fashion to cross it
Then: You're in a big city, get to know awesome people, present plans A and B
And: Repeat

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've gone to a lot of places, but Black Rock City is the most amazing place on Earth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I was a wilderness guide for five years and learned to teach a thing or two, but more importantly I discovered that every person I meet has a profound lesson to teach me.
