About Me

I never knew how to sum myself up online ; But if I were to meet you In real life it would be something like " Hi my name is Lorène and I am 24 years old, I work In the culture field, for some american universities and I love my job! I am also a 100% Parisian girl and I am found of my city which shall always surprise me. I am an outgoing and friendly person and very interested in all forms of cultures. "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's actually my first experience on Couchsurfing, I am there to meet new people from around the world and from different cultures. I am always looking to experience new adventures and meet new people :)

Interests

I am a huge music fan and I love to dance. I am practicing dance since I am a little girl. I am quite outgoing and an active person so I would never say no to trying something new ( It could be sport, an unusual experience or so whatever). I also have Croatian and Corsican origins, so hospitality is in my blood. Something I love is to sit around at a table with some friends and enjoy a good meal and glass of wine ... yes I am food lover ! I am also currently trying to learn more oenology.

Music, Movies, and Books

- That's a tough one because I am a curious and a passionate person by nature. I am open to so much and throughout my life my taste are changing but I would always dig a nice live concert gig in a bar or listen to a DJ into an open air. I guess my go to go regarding music are House and Funk music. I also like Italo Disco, Minimal ... Groovy music in general ! But again I can enjoy and listen to anything going from Balkan/Gypsy band to an Indie and rock concert.

- If I had to pick some of my favourite movies, I would say : Happiness Therapy (David O.Russel), About Time (Richard Curtis), Life is Beautfiul (Roberto Benigni), A Women is a Women (Jean-Luc Godard), Jules and Jim (François Truffaut) etc.

- Favourite TV show : Broad City, High Maintenance, Plan Coeur

- Favourite Books : "La promesse de l'aube" from Romain Gary, "La Tresse" from Laetitia Colombani, "Anne-Marie la beauté" from Yasmina Reza, Kerouac, Victor Hugo etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been lucky enough to work in Tahiti (French Polynesia) for a few months and it has been a spectacular self-growth experience ! Working there in Human Ressources enabled me to learn more about the social context and of course actually meet locals whom I have bound and am still am friend with. Since then I want to see the world around me from a local point of view.
That being said, I have so many great adventures to tell you about, the best ones always start by a single chance encounter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to share / or teach you anything I can. One thing I love the most is to discover new and unconventional places, so I could show you Paris from an "non-touristic" point of view. I also have lots of goofy adventures and experience to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am currently looking for a new flat in Paris so I am not able to host anyone yet. But as soon as I am settled , I would happily show you what it's like to live in Paris ( I love my city) all the good spot and stuff to do :)
