I currently do a PhD on decision and game theory, which is trying to understand and model human decision making. It's a mixture of maths, psychology and economics.

I love the moment of arriving at a new place and soaking up all the new sensations and meeting new people! However there is also the less adventorous part of me which prefers to let others talk and simply listen.

I believe that sustainability is the crucial issue of our generation and the one's to come. We need creative and inspiring people to tackle the problems that we face due to global warming, over- and underfeeding and other things locally and globally. I try to contribute to these issues through my consumptions behaviour (vegatarian, organic whenever possible) and I used to work for an NGO in Berlin that organizes demos against intensive lifestock farming.

Interests

I like chess, it's the best sport ever ;) The only thing I enjoy more is lying around and thinking about random things. Letting your mind wander and daydream about whatever crosses your mind is where good ideas are born!

My other passion is improvision theatre. I have my own group and we do performances once in a while.

I'm very interested in healthy food issues. I used to do voluntary work in Berlin where I coordinated organic food related issues. For instance, we did education work for children or organized Demos against intense livestock farming. We tried to convince local politicians that organic farming is essential for a sustainable world, for the soil, the groundwater, and our own health!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two hitchhiking tours in 2010: The first one in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Slovakia, the second one in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The amazing thing about hitchhiking is that you never know where you will end up today but you ALWAYS meet interesting people, because boring people don't take hitchhikers.
