Why easy if there is a complicated way - thats me sometimes ;)
Lets just say that I do not make everything too simple.
Maybe I can explain a bit why/how I found Couchsurfing:
After school I wanted to do something different than going to University or doing an apprenticeship while also being helpful and giving back what I received so far. So I decided to do a voluntery service in the US (always dreamt of staying in the US for longer). there I was living and working with people with developmental disabilities in the Camphill Village Copake and while staying in the US I saw quite something in my limited spare time. It also seems to be reasonable to use couchsurf instead of living in a hotel since I already decided for community when I came to live with people with special needs. That didn't change after completion of that volunteer service.

PHILOSOPHY

Don´t worry - the worries will come on their own, you don´t have to help them with that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope I can stay over night some time therefore I´ll offer a couch once I have a couch and a place to put it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To be honest - I know of couchsurf since September 2011. So far I only stayed once in a couchsurfing place - which was amazingly awesome.
