Hi there! I'm Lorenzo, a 23 years old guy living in Utrecht, Netherlands. I was born in Senigallia, a litte supercute town in the Marche region in Italy, and in 2015 I moved to Milan to study Computer Science at university. Once graduated, I worked for nine months as a Software Engineer for a Japanese IT consulting firm in Milan and then I decided to resume my academic career by moving to the Netherlands to specialise in Artificial Intelligence. I'm a very friendly and easygoing guy who loves to meet new people and to learn (and share!) as much as I can, to get to know more about other cultures and to explore the world one footstep at a time!

Travelling is one of my favourite things in the world, from the age of 18 I went into backpacking adventures every time my academic and working schedule allowed it. I find Couchsurfing a very interesting way to make trips a lot more affordable, and also to make people with same interests from different places meet. Which is awesome!

I'm passionate about technology, photography and digital graphic. Every form of creativity exerts almost a magnetic pull on me.

I committed myself to reduce my carbon footprint; I turned vegetarian and I'm getting less and less dependent on plastic. There's always an alternative, just look for it.
As of May 2020, I contributed to planting around 300 trees and my current target is set to 1000 trees by the end of 2020.

My career goal is to start my own startup based on a project I'm currently working on (involving plastic dependecy reduction), or as an alternative to start working as a Software Engineer at Google or Tesla.

Musica, film e libri

Always listening to music. Pop-addicted, but also very inclined to listen to alternative music and new discoveries. Favourite singer of all times: Stromae.

In love with Murakami, "The Animal Farm" by George Orwell, "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding and "Notes from Undeground" by Dostoyevsky.

Favourite movie at the moment: Room.

Favourite foreign country I would like to live in: The Netherlands 🇳🇱 (DONE!!!). Second place: Canada 🇨🇦

I'm currently attending a Master's programme in Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University, while attempting to learn Dutch in my spare time. I'm extremely curious though, I love to take my general knowledge a little bit further one step at a time, on tons of different fields and topics. Whenever I listen to keywords that captures my attention, I immediately start investigating on that to find out more.
