About Me

My name is Lorenzo and for a long time, I have been an active traveller, in the last year I pledge not to take any flights and therefore I'm travelling by land. I'm a friendly(a bit extroverted) Italian guy who loves to cook chat and have a glass of wine. I love to hike in the mountains and do a lot of snorkelling, I love to meet new people from different countries and different cultures. I like to laugh a lot and to make people laugh, I believe that sometimes is the best way to come out form a problematic situation.
I lived in Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Kenya. Right now I'm finishing my MA in political ecology in Barcelona, Spain and I'm currently shooting a documentary on the pollution of aviation as my final thesis. Before studying I worked one year and a half in Nairobi Kenya in an NGO, then COVID arrived and I went back to study! Environment, sharing, travelling and learning is what makes me happy =)
PS
have not been here on Couchsurfing for a long time(since I went to South America) however still in the same mood and being a host in all the places I've lived but through different channels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is no better thing than hosting and being a host.
Meeting people that live in the place that you are visiting makes you understand and feel the culture of the territory, being on Couchsurfing does not make you visit a place but living it!
I heard many times in my life that individuals drive their decisions only on rationality and self-interest and feelings are almost non-exsitant, I believe CouchSurfing show the opposite of that! it shows that people enjoy giving!
last, not least I believe in creating a future where sharing should be the key element for human well being and profit is not the driver of our actions.
