About Me

Hi! I am a 19 year old Italian/Swiss student of philosophy in Leiden University. I love sailing, bonsai, beatboxing and volunteering. I grew up in the countryside near Rome which developed my love for nature. I love reading, writing and hope one day to pursue a career in the humanitarian field while still writing about philosophy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for a place to stay while I can look for a house in Leiden. I would need a place to stay just until I find my own living arrangements. This is also a wonderful way to get to know the wonderful Leideners!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was volunteering in the Greek refugee camps, I built a swimming pool with bed nets and UNHCR tent linings for the kids of the camp. It took a few hours to build but was worth it when I saw the smiles on the kids' faces.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Italian, English, Sailing and Bonsai art. I am interested in learning Arabic and French. I love discussing any topic. From Politics to science to philosophy to religion. I hope I get to learn lots from any host, which I most definitely will do even if no actual teaching takes place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give lessons on Bonsai art with any plant. Even plants which are not bonsais yet. I can give sailing lessons as I was an instructor and raced at national level. I can give lessons in Italian and English but have never done this. I can most definitely share a compassion and love of life!
