About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graduate. Find a way to fill my life with music.

ABOUT ME

Yeah, this is always the most difficult part...

I'm 24, i was born in a little town in Northern Italy in which we have a unique carnival in which we throw...oranges. Yes, I know it's weird, but I assure you, it's awesome. I've been throwing oranges in my team for ten years and I never regretted it. Anyway, you can still appreciate that also Olivetti, which produced the first computer, it's from Ivrea. It's a small town, but full of cultural events, but since Olivetti has gone bankrupt, the social life of the town has disappeared, an so I moved to study in Turin for University. My parents, instead, are all from Toscany. My first memories are from another little town in Toscany, Pontedera, which is well known in the world for Vespa, the motorbike. After my graduation in Chemistry, I moved to Florence, where some of my parents live, to take a master in Nanochemistry.

I think at myself as a "wolf". Yes, that's how my mother calls our kind of personality. That means that the more I move, I practice sports and I fill my days with things to do, the more I give in everything I do and the more I get easygoing, chatty and nice to anyone.

I don't know how to describe myself. I always think at myself as an open-minded persons, who likes to go out with strangers. I like sharing. Sharing is a way of living. The more I share, the more I'm happy. I like when people ask me If I can do something for them. The only reason why I can't host at the moment is my flatmates, they don't like to see strangers around, and I signed a contract when I thought they were different. Bad luck...

I really like to find a way to give the objects a new dimensions. That's why I like to learn how to fix things myself, such as bycicles. Sometimes I go to local markets when they close and see if there's something thrown away, and check if I can find a way to sterilize it and cook it. It needs work, but It's worthy. You can imagine that this kind of attitude it's more likely to produce disgust and problems with some kind of people, but I don't care too much.

Another thing that I really enjoyed It's travelling alone. It gives time to meditate, but at a certain point you realize your limits, and how to overcome it. I will never forget that travel in Cadiz...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing for me was a beautiful, complete experience. It's like you never stopped travelling, when visitors comes to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Granada and in Barcelona.
I hosted a French girl when I was injured in Madrid and here in Florence I hosted a couple of Turkish students and two girls from US. Hope to meet you again, fellas!

Interests

I'm interested in music, and for music I mean all the kind of music, psychedelic stuff, stoner, be bop, blues, rock'n roll, funk, afro jazz, afro music, reggae, progressive, hard rock, post rock, electronic stuff, folksingers, indie rock, math rock, noize rock, djent... but in the end I decided to apply as a chemistry student and so here am I, studying Nanochemistry in Florence. Sometimes I still pick up my guitar and sing. I have a dark "Lanegan-like" voice and I cannot sing everything, but I love when I managed to. Now I have a couple of bands to play with and I'm trying to learn how to scream, because it's a technique that I refused at first.

I love travelling, but travelling for me doesn't mean being tourist. I like a trip when you have to organize everything and count on your abilities. I don't have enough money to go to Africa, or South America, and that's why I've always been in Europe. I was thinking about getting a job that makes me travel more, I always wondered how it could be to go to Africa. Never been there. I always wanted to visit Timbuktu.

I like arts, and for arts I mean music, cinema, books, theater and paintings. I would really like to know how to work out something in any of this fields, but I don't have 26 hours a day. I recently begin to take some recitation lessons, and I find it really pleasing.
