About Me

I'm a quirky Mexican kid who loves music, books, painting, photography, and traveling.

I just came back home from a backpacking trip through Asia and decided I needed a little more traveling, so I'm spending the summer in Europe doing workaway and couchsurfing. It's the first time I do it so I'm really excited about getting to know the locals and the culture from this perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a really cool opportunity to get to know different people from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Devendra Banhart's music makes me happy, Nico's voice calms me down, Elliott Smith's songs are the soundtrack to my life, Yann Tiersen for when looking at the ceiling, Pink Floyd and Radiohead to stay sane, and good jazz everyday.

I think life should be like a Wes Anderson movie and that everyone should watch American Beauty at least once in a lifetime. Cannot imagine a life without Woody Allen's movies and would like to walk around Michel Gondry's mind someday.

The Bell Jar is my most precious possession (apart from my squishy rubber brain).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once did Nyepi, the Balinese "Day of Silence," which marks the arrival of the Balinese New Year: I locked myself in a hotel room with a friend I had met the day before and meditated for 24 hours, restrained from food, electricity, and entertainment. Pretty nice way of getting to know someone, too.

Oh, I once ate 40 chicken nuggets, too.
