About Me

An empty nester, in the middle of a move and trying to figure out what we want to do with the rest of our lives. Married to my husband Tony for 28+ years, have 3 gorgeous daughters, one in college and two graduated from college. Live on an acreage, have paddock and animals... a horse, dogs, cats, chickens...an ever changing menagerie. Only a Shih Tzu is indoor and considered hypoallergenic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world and make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a little bit of most everything....except heavy metal, some rap and horror movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Published a book. http://www.amazon.com/Country-Tails-Lori-Lee-Gerads/dp/1893075516

Ok, two: Trained under Monty Roberts and Anna Twinney, horse whisperers.

Wrong, #1 is I have 3 intelligent daughters I brought into and guided in this world. Two are spreading their wings and one is still in college.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to start a horse using Monty's methods of joining up. I can show you around the farm, let you collect eggs, weed a garden, mow the lawn, pet a horse, cat or dog...and maybe even a chicken.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lots of stories. I have trained horses, written poetry and a book, can read to children. We have a bon fire pit...if supplies on hand we could do s'mores over the hot coals.

Great place to spend time. Ride bikes or walk through town. Visit the Deadzone (convenience store), the campground , the library, Beaver Corner Bar and Restaurant, the park and pool, and of course the huge Beaver Hardware Store.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Switzerland
