I grew up in Upstate NY in a large middle class family. I have always been athletic and active. I love pets and animals of all sorts. I gravitate to the outdoors with mountains and lakes being my solace. I have worked my entire life with the first half of my career in health services and the last 25 years in the bicycle industry. I am beginning to downsize my work life so that I can have more time for myself. My passion is traveling by motorcycle . I am an avid rider and also an instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I am a student of life and am driven by a natural sense of curiosity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to spend my healthy years traveling and am preparing for some solo motorcycle adventures. I love to moto camp but I also love a hot shower and bed (couch) on occasion. I also want to meet and learn about people . At this point I will travel domestically in the US. I want to travel this great country because I know, despite the political climate over the past few years, it is filled with magnificent landscapes and people. I want to refresh my spirit and soul.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music with the exception of punk rock. I can never remember the names of movies but there are many I like - Fried Green Tomatoes, Forrest Gump, Boys Don’t Cry. I like Netflix/Hulu criminal series like the Blacklist. Ozark.
I read all sorts of books from fiction to non-fiction and don’t have one particular favorite .

I’ve ridden a bicycle across the Rocky Mountains 7 times…..in my younger years:)
