Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just a few, but great experiences hosting and traveling through couchsurfing.
Interested in learning about other places/cultures. Enjoy connecting with people from other places.

I had an amazing experience in 2010 when my daughter and I visited a friend in Marseille who was living in a Couch-surfing friendly co-op. Most memorable were cooking together, long dinners with international travelers /couch-surfers dropping in, trying to determine best language to include everyone in dinner conversation, and commonly ending in a basic game of charades and lots of laughter.

A great experience hosting a French student for 2 weeks that resulted in subsequent exchanges in US and France.

Interests

Interests include social and contra dancing, sailing, traveling, languages, International folk music and dance, backyard chickens and ducks. Connecting with people and cultural exchange. Trying something new.
