About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy and do something useful with my life.

ABOUT ME

I am naturally an introvert, which is why travel is so valuable to me. I like forcing myself into unknown situations and experiencing new places and people.

After finishing an International Master in Applied Ecology (France, Ecuador, Portugal, the UK, and Australia) I lived, worked and traveled in Australia for a while. I'm currently home in Jupiter, FL working at sea sometimes and planning future travels in between.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed on friends' couches often enough and started officially CouchSurfing in 2009 in Italy. I've heard only good things from friends and other people I've met around the world, and my experience has been the same. Trust and sharing over fear and isolation!

Interests

I love sustainability, nature and outdoor activities, agriculture, food, photography, and traveling to new places and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

David Sedaris is one of my favorites. I love to read non-fiction, humor, some mystery, some fantasy (LotR!), and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw some amazing things when I was working on fishing boats- from sunsets and moon rises to flying fish and migrating sparrows.
WWOOFing in Italy was one of my favorite experiences- learning a new language and culture through immersion and becoming part of new families.

Teach, Learn, Share

Food is the first thing that comes to mind- I enjoy teaching, learning, and sharing recipes. I love learning in general and am open to learning anything and teaching anything I can.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
