About Me
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE A PERSONAL REQUEST, THANK YOU!
I grew up all over the place, and it made me a natural traveler. I've now been using Chicago as my home-base for almost 10 years, going in and out all the time. I spend a lot of time playing music, and tour around the U.S./Canada with my band Crown Larks. Its eclectic jazzy psych rock -- you can check out our last album here: www.crownlarks.com. I like to read, mainly fiction and philosophy (recently read Henry Miller for the first time), watch films, go see live jazz and experimental electronics shows, hang about in thrift stores, and cook! I'm the mother of an 18-month-old son, and we spend huge amounts of time together wandering around the parks and watching bugs. I love nature and like to be outside as much as possible. I'm more of a listener than a talker, but I love meeting new people who are trying to forge their own path in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted many many people together with my boyfriend Jack. Together we couchsurfed from Germany to Lebanon in 2010 (see references on Jack's page since we requested from his account). CS is the best way to meet people from the place you're traveling in, avoid suffocating tourist traps, and get a really unique experience.
