About Me

I'm the "Writer" on the YouTube channel "Techie and Writer"
www.youtube.com/techieandwriter

My husband, "the Techie," and I enjoy traveling around the greater San Francisco Bay area in our RV/van. We love meeting people, especially those who might be interested in being featured in our videos, collaborating on video projects, or offering music for our videos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I have a small 21' Class B 2017 Pleasure-Way Dodge RV/van and we're looking for places to spend the night in our RV parked in driveways, quiet residential streets, or private property where we know we're safe and welcome. We have all our own accommodations including a bed, bath and kitchen, but we enjoy connecting with locals. Our only requirement is a somewhat flat place to park.

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION OF "MY HOME" BEFORE REQUESTING TO STAY WITH US.

For fellow campers, we can sometimes accommodate a small RV or van on our property.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is A Course in Miracles.

I prefer instrumental music of all sorts, from slow spa to upbeat hip hop. I'm especially interested in meeting musicians that we can feature on our YouTube channel.

A favorite recent movie I watched was The Shack. I also enjoy documentaries that promote the benefits of healthy living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2000, I married a widower with 5 children. It was one of the most difficult things I ever did and, as it turns out, one of the best decisions I ever made. Now we're empty-nesters and enjoying a simple and fun life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a lifelong learner with 6 college degrees, which only taught me that I know very little.
As individuals we have very narrow and limited perspectives.
I believe in keeping an open mind at all times.

I love the adventure of traveling, learning new cultures, and meeting people from all over the world.

Here are a few fun life experiences I highly recommend:
- ride an elephant in Phuket, Thailand
- hang out with active 90-year-olds in Okinawa, Japan
- climb the stairs to the Tian Tan Buddha at Lantau Island in Hong Kong
- take Thai food cooking classes in Bangkok, Thailand
- live among artists at OCT Loft in Shenzhen, China
- pray at Sagrada Familia by Gaudi in Barcelona, Spain
- lay down on the grass and look up Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore
- ride a donkey in Dominican Republic
- climb the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia
- stand at the edge of the Grand Canyon from the North Rim where there are no fences
- do some cross-country sight-seeing while driving from the Pacific to the Atlantic
- visit Michael Mobbs off-the-grid home in downtown Sydney, Australia
- drink a mojito in Old San Juan
- sleep in a St. Thomas hotel room with glass-free shutter windows and wake up to the roosters

What I Can Share with Hosts

My husband and I enjoy talking with people about their hobbies, interests, and travel adventures.

We're interested in meeting people who have talents, hobbies, music, books or businesses who might be a good fit to feature on our YouTube channel:
