Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Laura. I have a flat in Oval, in zone 2, with a spare bedroom and would love to start hosting couchsurfers in my home.
For travel: I usually use Airbnb but thought I would give couchsurfing a go as well as I love to meet people and experience the culture of the place I am staying in.
I'm pretty low maintenance and really appreciative of anything hosts are able to give me. I don't drink or smoke and am definitely not a crazy party animal (those days are gone..) so would be very respectful of your home and your space. I love children, animals, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned and love being part of a home along my travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
love to host and show people around, and share my tips and recommendations for the fantastic city I live in.
I believe in what goes around comes around and I have an amazing network of people around the world who have stayed with me in London and who I know I can call on. I'd love to expand this with couchsurfing and help out people who I stay with in return.
Interests
A little about me: I'm 30, taking time out from my busy job at the Guardian newspaper in London to travel, write, read and generally explore the world. I love the outdoors and equally chilling out with a good book in a cosy corner. I've travelled pretty extensively across Central America, South America, South East Asia and Europe. I'm happiest just landed in a new place, headphones on, looking out of the window of a bus and seeing and experiencing things I've never seen before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Escaped a helicopter landing on my head in the midst of a Mexican drug deal on a remote beach in Oaxaca, Mexico. ('ll explain).
What I Can Share with Hosts
An open mind, willingness to learn about others, friendly conversation, gratitude.
