About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meet people from around the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm really excited to have found this site since I've always enjoyed hosting friends who come to visit me! :) I loooooove to travel myself as well so I'm hoping to meet new people from different parts of the world and learn about their culture. :D I was born in Taiwan but grew up in mostly Boston and New York. Currently, I work at a movie studio in Los Angeles. Craziest thing I did last year beside traveling to Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, Turkey, Switzerland, France, and wherever else I don't remember is that I went on the hottest dating show in China~ ;)

PHILOSOPHY

never take anything too seriously, never stress. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. Don't worry, be happy!

I can't believe how friendly and how sweet the CS hosts are! :D What I love about traveling is getting to know the local culture experiencing different things that are different from what I'm used to. I've met great hosts from Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Ho Chi Minh City, Xi'an, Hong Kong, HsinChu, Honolulu, Istanbul, and Lima! :) I love listening to people's travel stories and be inspired by their stories for me next adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies! My favorite recent movies are Australia, Tropic Thunder and Burn after Reading. Other movies: Sound of Music, Casper, Mrs. Doubtfire, American Pie, Face off, Shawshank Redemption, Far and Away, Some like it Hot, Meet the Parents, Borat, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Big Fish, Enchanted, Harold and Kumar, Drilbit Taylor, Just Married, the Departed (Hong Kong version), Good Will Hunting, 21, Catch me if you Can, She's the Man, Sister Act, Shrek, Curse of the Golden Flower, Lust Caution, The Last King of Scotland, the Sweetest thing, Charlie Bartlett, Iron Man, Scoop, Percepolis, Step Brothers, the Namesake, Philadelphia, 2 days in Paris, the Weather Man, First Wives Club, Hocus Pocus, Die Hard, My Cousin Vinny, Once upon a time in Mexico...and many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Laos I saw 8 year olds riding motorcycles on the wrong of the the road (there were no separate sides of the road to start with)the locals say in Laos they trust in their lord Buddha when it comes to driving (yikes!), talk about having faith! I've been pretty lucky with my traveling so far, other than the motorcycle burn on my right leg from bustling Hanoi, I've gotten rescued from falling into the rapids of a UNESCO world heritage site in China (I learned my lesson to never lean on fences haha) and picked up by the Police in Trujillo, Peru for being in the wrong part of town. ;) Oh, and I got stared down and yelled at by secret police for taking photos (they looked like they were going to smash my camera...) that was probably the most frightening moment of my life!
