Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm very new here! For now I'd just like to get my feet wet. I occassionally travel for school related things (conferences, interviews, etc) so it would be nice to meet some CSers that way. I also live with my fiancé in the DC area, and we have a little extra space, so we may be able to accommodate CSers visiting the DC area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surf frequently (not through this community yet though) with friends from high school and college who are all over the world now (New York, Boston, DC, San Francisco, LA, Mississippi, New Orleans, etc). More recently, some friends of mine who were experienced CSers stayed at our apartment and told us about their CS experiences (our apartment was a stop on their cross-country road trip). I was sold and wanted to join the community to expand my circle of friends and fellow travelers.

Too many to list! I love variety and am always open to something new.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every day of my work (health care) is amazing. I get to listen to people's most intimate life stories, listen to their hearts beat, help operate on their internal organs, and do everything we can to breathe life into their bodies and minds. I am witness to the very beginnings of life and the final moments, sometimes in the same day. I've had experiences like this from one of the most powerful centers of power in the world (Washington DC) to the most remote corners of the continent (the volcano villages of El Salvador).
